HEALTH
Good information matters.
A puppy's health deserves careful attention, clear records, and appropriate veterinary care.
For each puppy, we aim to provide the relevant information available from the breeder, including veterinary visits, age-appropriate vaccinations and parasite care, and any documented health screening.
Where applicable, prospective owners should also ask about the health history of both parents and the screening recommended for the breed.
Pugs and French Bulldogs can face significant breed-associated health challenges. A veterinary examination and available records are important, but neither can guarantee that a dog will never develop a health problem.
We encourage prospective owners to discuss their questions with a qualified veterinarian before making a decision.
How we label information
On each puppy profile we separate three kinds of information so you can see where it comes from:
- Breeder statements: what we tell you based on our own observations.
- Veterinary records: examinations, vaccinations and treatments recorded by a veterinarian.
- Independent test results: results issued by a laboratory or other independent body.
